Niet alleen het huisje maar ook de verhuurder; We kwamen wat later aan maar de eerste boodschappen had hij al geregeld (zonder er om te vragen). Daarnaast had hij uitleg gegeven wat er te zien is op het eiland. Beide waren zeer welkom, naar de vriendelijkheid en het welkom. Ik zou het een ieder aanraden. 2 Jun 2025

The attention to detail in construction, upkeep, furnishings and amenities was greatly appreciated. Having a startup supply of food soaps and paper products was a pleasant surprise. The hospitality and trip suggestions from Sergio was such a bonus. We would happily recommend and would be pleased to return. The view from the patio and Gardens in the rear were lovely spaces to relax and enjoy the Beautiful scenery. The bread delivery was such a treat! 4 Oct 2024

The host checks you in personally and stocks the kitchen with basic groceries and fresh bread! He offered to deliver fresh bread to us daily if we wanted. The place was clean and so peaceful. It is nicer than the photos make it out to be. The garden is beautiful and the house is clean and very well stocked with everything you need. The host also offered a free tour in his buggy! Definitely take him up on this, it was great! 18. Juli 2025

9 Jul 2025 Liked: cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Fantastic location and wonderful hosts Communication was speedy and insightful from start to finish. Sergio met us at the property and took time to explain the amenities on site. He went further and told us about some of the must-see sites including a nearby thermal pool that was very special. He even provided a timetable of high/low tides at the thermal pool....that information was not in the guides I had researched!He also offered to take us to the one of the big lakes in the his buggy. We have enjoyed welcome food packs at other properties we stayed in but Sergio and Maria really did take care of us, not only did they stock the flat with tea and coffee, but there were also essentials in the fridge too, such as milk, butter, cheese, eggs and cold meats. Another bonus compared to other rentals is access to cable TV. Being a news junkie, I really appreciated tapping into the BBC as well the movie channels. What made our stay extra special was to be included in a unique religious festival. Sergio invited us to join him and the rest of the village for a communinal dinner on the night we arrived and to watch an associated procession the following day. Thank you Sergio and Maria for being such generous hosts!

Our stay with Sergio and Maria was great. The apartment was very clean and exactly like the pictures. The two were very nice and helpful hosts who gave us tips about the island and surprise the guests with goodies. As a welcome we received eggs, cheese and a bottle of wine. The bread service for breakfast was great. The view from the terrace as well. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The best apartment on our azores trip 🙂

Maria and Sergio were amazing hosts – warm welcome when we arrived, Sergio gave us lots of tips and advice of how to explore the island and without his help, we wouldn’t of had half the experience we did – so thank you very much! The house was lovely, very tidy, looked after too with all you need including hairdryer and both swimming towels and shower towels. Great location, not too far from city of Ponta Delgada. Incredible sea view from the house. We had breakfast outside every morning and we were amazed by the view everyday. If we return to this island, we will 100% return back to this property. Great value for money for its features, location and sea view. If you are looking for a place to stay whilst staying on this island, please do stay here!
