Villa Maria was built in 2015 with our guests’ comfort in mind for a dreamlike stay. It boasts a magnificent view over the Atlantic Ocean, mountain range, and the Candelária location.

Villa Maria is made up of two semi-detached houses. The interior of the houses is exactly the same in both. They are modern, comfortable and welcoming houses, where you can relax, with panoramic views over the sea and mountains.

Each house has its own private space, only the pool and garden are shared. You will be able to enjoy your meals on the terrace surrounded by the green and blue landscape.

In all of our houses, every morning you’ll have the possibility of having fresh bread delivered to your doorstep by the local baker.

The nights are magical and you can enjoy wonderful sunsets and stars, surrounded by peaceful songs and nature.

Villa Maria is located in Candelária, about 17km from the airport, 19km from the center of Ponta Delgada, the main city of São Miguel; we are, 5km from the Ferraria thermal spring water where you can enjoy warm sea water; And we are also about 10min from the famous Sete Cidades lagoons and the Mosteiros beach.

São Miguel is a magical and wonderful island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. It belongs to a very special group of nine islands, the Azores!

It’s considered one day since the 12 hours until the 12 hours of the following day.

The price is for 2 people.  Each extra person is 25€ per night. Children up to 2 years don’t pay.

Villa Maria 1 and 2 have the same location and the interior is exactly the same. For this reason, we provide one or the other depending on the availability

Our stay with Sergio and Maria was great. The apartment was very clean and exactly like the pictures. The two were very nice and helpful hosts who gave us tips about the island and surprise the guests with goodies. As a welcome we received eggs, cheese and a bottle of wine. The bread service for breakfast was great. The view from the terrace as well. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The best apartment on our azores trip 🙂

Maria and Sergio were amazing hosts – warm welcome when we arrived, Sergio gave us lots of tips and advice of how to explore the island and without his help, we wouldn’t of had half the experience we did – so thank you very much! The house was lovely, very tidy, looked after too with all you need including hairdryer and both swimming towels and shower towels. Great location, not too far from city of Ponta Delgada. Incredible sea view from the house. We had breakfast outside every morning and we were amazed by the view everyday. If we return to this island, we will 100% return back to this property. Great value for money for its features, location and sea view. If you are looking for a place to stay whilst staying on this island, please do stay here!

We looked at many hotels and VRBO (and their competitor) listings and happily booked this apartment. We were warmly welcomed with fresh fruits and basic food stuffs to ensure an easy transition. The hosts went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable, sitting us down with a map of the island and provided us some recommendations after inquiring about our interests. If you are planing on hikes, be sure to check out the guest book where other visitors highlighted their favorites, including duration and difficulty. The apartment is INCREDIBLY clean and has warm touches with fresh flowers and everything you may need (including shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent). There is a terrace that you can enjoy your meals on with an ocean view. We took advantage of the barbecue on the property as well. The hosts are incredibly helpful and offer ancillary services to ensure you make the most of your vacation. We hope to see you again!!
